Stunning English Sterling Silver & Enamel Handled Magnifying Glass - 1930

Description

A wonderful and very useful desk-top accessory, this English magnifying glass had one of the most delightful handles, made from sterling silver with enamel panels to both back and front.

The central panel is decorated in a mint green guilloche enamel showcasing the intricate engine turned decoration below; this green panel is framed with a solid white enamel line.

The silver ferrule is where the English hallmark can be found for London 1930. The nickel framed magnifier is of course new (by Hilkinson), without damage and a good magnification makes this a very usable piece in excellent condition. 6 1/2" long with a glass measuring 2 1/2" in diameter.
