Description

A fine quality French boulle mantel clock with the original plinth. Floral brass inlays to the tortoishell and gilt bronze mounts. A convex glass to the brass bezel and blue numerals to the enamel dial. Well detailed decorative gilt hands. An 8-day duration mechanism by noted makers Japay Freres striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1880.
