Pair of Silver Candlesticks

1900 - 1920
Description

A Pair of Silver Corinthian Column Candlesticks, the lift out sconces with a beaded edge and shaped sides to follow the outline of the capital. The capitals with well cast shell, laurel leaf and stiff leaf detail, above columns, swagged with bows and chained tassels, the columns tapering outward and downward to a ringed socle, and spreading square bases, with swag and chain decoration repeating the decoration of the columns. The bases beaded to repeat the sconces.

The sconces and bases hallmarked for London 1924.
