Antique English Art Nouveau Dressing Table Tray by Mappin Bros. - 1901

Description

A wonderful and highly decorative silver plated tray, a beautiful shape with exquisite Art Nouveau embossed or repousse work.

The tray has a full mark for the well renowned silversmith, Mappin Bros. and EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver. The other end of the tray is lucky enough to have an English registration number of 376156, when investigated is for the year 1901, making this a very early Edwardian example, which of course ties in with the clear Art Nouveau design.

Excellent condition, measuring 12" x 8 3/4".
