Stunning Victorian Fire Basket - Iron & Brass - c1850

This Victorian Fire Basket is exceptional. Everything about the piece is correct and it ticks all of the boxes for design, quality, craftsmanship and condition.

The basket is very robustly constructed with integrated cast iron fire-back and fire heat brick.

The piece free-stands into the hearth and benefits from a lift out cast iron lower grate for ease of cleaning. It is suitable for all fuel types.

The gorgeous bulbous form with floral detailing in the rear casting is accented by the brass finials and the wonderful brass casting embellishments applied to the sweeping front and legs.

Overall a perfect example of a Victorian fire grate and ready to use.
