Pair of 19th C Ormolu and Marble Cassoulets

Description

A good quality pair of 19th C ormolu and marble cassoulets, the main body with a concave upper portion and leafy egg and dart style decoration, the main body decorated with a band of grapes and vines, the lower portion of the body with palm leaves and a finial, the lid also with this well detailed finial. Three Bacchanalian masks eminate from the body, above reeded outswept legs which terminate into hoofs onto a triform marble base, standing on three compressed bun feet decorated in leaf relief.

Wonderful statement pieces with superb detail!!!
