Victorian Holosteric Drum Aneroid Barometer with Semi Circular Mercury Thermometer

Description

A victorian brass drum aneroid barometer in it's original leather covered and velvet lined case.

The instrument is 5.25 inches in diameter and still retains the original semi-circular mercury "fahrenheit's" thermometer.

The mechanism is fully functional and reads sensitively and accurately. The dial carries the usual nomenclature reading from "stormy" to "very dry" over a range of 28 to 31 inches.

Altogether a rare and attractive, functioning antique.
