Description

A fabulous English box, unusually made from splendid and highly decorative Kingwood standing on four original Lion's paw feet and retaining the original Lion's head ring handles each side.

The box is trimmed in Ebony and brass around the edges and the front beautifully cross-banded.

The box has been re-lined in a hand-marbelled paper, created a clean fresh interior ready for use.

Dating to 1820, the box remains in excellent condition. The lid measuring 12" x 6" and standing 7" tall.
