Antique English Boxed Set Fruit Knives & Forks - Carved Ivory - C.1880

Description

A delightful set of fruit knives and forks, most unusual with wonderful carved Ivory handles (any dark lines seen to the front is the steel inside joining the two pieces, not damage or cracks).

The silver plate is beautifully engraved both on the front of the knives and forks, the makers mark is found on the reverse of the knife blade D & S for J. Deakin.

The set comes complete with the original Oak box (shrinkage crack to front), with a superb Emerald green velvet and Sage coloured silk interior. Six Knives and Six Forks in excellent condition, the knife measuring 8 1/2", the fork measuring 7 1/2" and the box, 9 1/2" x 7 1/2".
