Description

Very unusual to find a boxed (I have never seen a boxed set of these before) set of these wonderful novelty salts in the form of coopered buckets, made from solid English Oak and silver plated fittings, the interior of the salts is gilded.

There are the original two salt spoons in the form of shovels or spades, quite charming.

Excellent condition (minor wear to silk on interior of lid), the box measuring 8" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" tall; each salt measuring in diameter (handle to handle) 2 1/2" x 2" tall; each spoon measuring 3 1/8" in length. Victorian c.1890.
