Walnut Coffer Chest - French - c1700
This coffer chest is a desirable size and an attractive and functional piece of country furniture.
The piece is displaying age throughout and has great charm and warmth to the walnut timber.
The coffer is solid and strong of joint.
The top opens to reveal a useful interior space. The lid is retained in the upright position by way of the candle box lid to the left and side.
Overall a character filled piece which has super proportions and good patina. It has had it's 300th birthday and still looking good!
