Gorgeous Sutherland Table - Burr Walnut - c1870
This Serpentine top Victorian Sutherland table is a splendid example.
These tables are as functional as they are attractive.
Either one or two flaps can be engaged and are supported solidly with a flying leg which swings from under.
With burr walnut veneer and a shaped serpentine top this table presents beautifully with super depth of colour.
Carved cabriole legs support a triple turned riser. The twin supports are united by a very pleasing stretcher making the whole stable and robust. Overall the delicate look is well balanced producing a fine small table.
It is presented in stunning condition.
The table is everything that is expected of this type and will make a beautiful addition to any home.
