An original and rare french art deco period prowling panther by the phenominal maurice prost (1894-1967) this sculpture inspired by one created as a life size bronze panther for the colonial exhibition in paris 1931

This sculpture is bronze on a black slate base and is circa 1930's although prost lost an arm in the first world war he went on to be known as one of the greatest sculptors of the art deco period and exhibited in edgar brant's gallery at the salon d'automne in 1923 and received countless accolades and awards for his work
