This is a delightful secretaire abatant / writing desk, standing on a plinth base with mottled ruby marble top. French c1880

The figured rosewood with its beautiful inlays has faded slightly and gained a soft antique patination.

There are 2 working keys and all drawers glide smoothly. The front panel drops down to reveal 4 drawers, stationary slots and a writing surface.

This beautiful antique item is shown here in top condition and offers years of useful service.
