Description

A stunning and highly decorative example, this fine quality antique English candle box is made from solid Mahogany with a highly decorative front panel with a central naturalistic inlay and a quarter serrated fan inlay to each corner.

The fretted back panel with the hole to hang on the wall is all intact and without damage; the hinges too are the original.

Dating to around 1820, the condition is wonderful, going on 200 years old. The foot print measures 7 3/4" x 6 3/4". 8" tall at front, 14 1/2" tall to to of fretted panel at rear.
