A Small and Fine Late 18th Century Pembroke Table Circa 1790

Description

A very pretty and beautifully proportioned georgian mahogany pembroke table of the late 18th century.

This beautiful little table is a fine example of the classic refinements in design and construction of this golden period of furniture design.

The proportions and fineness of structure are combined with simplicity and strength. The choice of wood shows a richness in colour and figuring that has only improved with the passing years. The fine cock beading, absolutely original brass drop handles and oak lined drawer bear witness to this. The almost invisible leather rolled hidden casters are all there and a rare and desirable detail.
