Antique English Horseshoe Butter Dish in Silver Plate & Glass - 1894

Description

A wonderful little butter dish, perfect for the horse lover or equestrian devotee.

The silver plated stand stands on it's original three ball feet with a scalloped edge and a beaded frame surrounding the horse shoe shaped void which holds the glass dish.

The dish is made from molded glass, then beautifully cut around the sides and on the underside. The glass when molded had the English design registration number was incorporated, 233768, for the year 1894, so a true Victorian example.

The silver stand has the makers marks on the underside for the well renowned silversmith, J. Deakin of Sheffield.

Excellent condition, measuring 7 1/4" x 5" max.
