Adorable English Sterling Silver and Blue Guilloche Enamel Box - 1925

Description

A charming and highly decorative little box made for a good gauge of sterling silver with a good weight.

The lid is decorated with a wonderful blue coloured guilloche enamel showcasing the attractive engine turning below; framed be an intricate engraved foliate border.

The interior reveals a lavishly gilded interior, the lid fitting perfectly. The underside bears the full English hallmark for Birmingham 1925 together with the makers initials HM for the well renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews.

Excellent undamaged condition, measuring 1 1/4" in diameter x 7/8" tall.
