Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Constructed of first class quarter sawn oak which has matured over the decades into a warm rich colour with fabulous grain and patina.

It has been professionally yet sympathetically restored.
The mirror back is in three sections with the two side mirrors being hinged so you can place them at an angle, all are bevelled edged and the central mirror has just been replaced so is in perfect condition. It has carving and moldings to the shaped top corniche.

The marble top has hints of greys and greens with the stricking white veining, it is in incredible condition with no cracks or chips.
The base section has the most wonderful garland carving with the decorative solid brass handles which is very much of the French Art Nouveau period and it comes with working locks and keys.

This is an extremely versatile piece as the mirror back can be removed and of course can be placed in any room in the house, in the hallway, kitchen, bedroom or sitting room.
It measures 45.5" wide, 21" deep, 74" high with the mirror and 34" high to the top of the marble.

This has been sympathetically restored whilst still retaining its original features.
A fabulous piece of genuine antique Victorian furniture which would grace any period home.
It splits into two sections with the mirror back being removed for ease of transportation, as you would expect of a piece of furniture constructed of oak and marble it is exctremely heavy.
