Lovely Copper Log & Coal Bin - Stamped DG - c1838

A fine quality copper log & coal bin with pleasing riveted detailing throughout the base and to the sides. The piece is marked with the date of 1838 and stamped with DG.

The item benefits from a quality solid brass handle and very robust hinge-points.

This piece exhibits excellent copper craftsmanship.

Great colour and age are seen and the design is very pleasing.

The bin is in excellent, solid antique order throughout and is ready for another 170 years of use. A classic accompaniment to any hearth and rare in this size and condition.
