Antique Fire screen - Floral Silk Needlepoint - c1880

English Victorian fire screen with superbly detailed flower embroidery. Set behind glass this quality textile shows hundreds of hours of fine needle work.

This example benefits from a mahogany frame terminating with round finials and is in great order throughout. Please see the images which show that at the rear of the piece there is a small portion of the silk back fabric missing.

Overall a lovely display item and a good sampler.
