Description

An exceptional Willaim IV Rosewood library table of stately home proportions and quality.The top veneered in book-matched Rosewood,has a deep thumbnail moulding above a concave section containing two flush drawers.

The table is set on two fan-shaped end supports in solid rosewood,scrolled top and bottom and crisply carved on both sides.these supports are seperated by a tapering spiral turned stretcher.The whole piece terminates on finely-carved scrolls with acanthus carvings and brass castors.

The left hand drawer contains the original manufacturer's label; J Huddleston, 6 Nassu Street,cavendish Square.James and George Huddleston were registered as cabinet makers,residing at this address in 1825 in an area of London.

Dimensions;75cm high x 73cm deep x 154cm long
