Charming English Victorian Silver Plated Spirit Kettle C.1880

Description

A wonderful and most unusual spirit kettle with highly decorative embossed or repousse work surrounding a vacant cartouche both back and front.

The kettle retains it's original basket weave handle and the kettle with a plethora of marks on the underside with the makers mark for Deakin & Sons of Sheffield / EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver / The Original "Ambleside" Kettle / The retailers marks is also present, H. Nicholls, Bowness, Windermere.

The kettle sits in a pierced basket stand with a scalloped edge, a handle each side and standing on four legs and complete with the spirit burner underneath.

Excellent condition measuring 7 5/8" across handle to handle x 7" tall.
