A very good Victorian oak 8 day mantel clock of compact dimensions, by Nathaniel Wegg of Deptford.
Measuring: 11" tall 6" wide 5" deep.
Nathaniel Wegg recorded working Deptford 1849 and then London until 1880.

The engraved silvered brass dial with Roman chapter ring, with finely executed engraving below.
Original blued steel hands.

Superb gothic revival style oak case with glazed viewing windows to the sides.
Beautiful turned barley twist columns flanking both sides of the case.
The clock standing on turned bun feet.
An elegant well proportioned clock with a wonderfully figured oak case, of original colour and patina.

The movement has been expertly restored, keeping excellent time, with a 2 year mechanical guarantee.
