Fabulous George III Satinwood & Laburnum Collectors Cabinet C.1815

Description

This magnificent Georgian cabinet is nearing it's 200th birthday, this wonderful miniature table-top showpiece would make a beautiful Jewelry box with it's five drawers (some natural shrinkage hairlines to the drawer bases, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy).

The base is shaped to create four elegant integral legs. The top, sides and doors are veneered in a panel of Satinwood with cross-banding and linear Ebony inlay. There is an intricate band of inlay around the top of the cabinet, all original and quite exceptional.

The doors open (complete with working lock and key) to reveal five drawers finished in exotic Laburnum with original turned Ivory handles.

A rare and unusual piece in excellent condition. The footprint measures 11 3/4" x 7 3/4" x 12" tall.
