Unusual English Victorian "Belt" Desk-top Magnifying Glass C.1880

Description

A most unusual figural desk-top magnifying glass which is heavy enough to double as a paperweight.

The thick & heavy glass is set in a polished brass frame made to resemble a belt, the belt and buckle was used extensively in the Victorian era as a decorative motif.

Excellent condition, the glass has excellent clear magnification with a couple of minor surface scratches, insignificant but mentioned purely for accuracy. 2 3/4" in diameter x 1" thick. Professionally re-polished to gleam.
