Regency Moroccan Leather Box

Description

An attractive Regency Moroccan leather covered sewing/work box, the raised and lobed lid with a canted pediment and outer edging with gilt tooled decoration, opening to reveal an interior fitted for sewing accessories. The lower half of the box with a frieze drawer, mounted with a large gilt brass escutcheon, ring drop handles to either side with backplates decorated as baskets of flowers, the box standing on four gilt brass 'foliate' feet. Fabulous box, in wonderful condition!

H: 5 1/2" to top of pediment

W: 8"

D: 6"
