Description

A fabulous and rare antique English tea caddy dating to around 1800, George III in period.

Made from highly sought-after Burr Yew, cross-banded with Satinwood and various fine stringing.

The front has a glorious ovoid panel, inset with wonderful Clipper ship complimented by the nautical compass star inset to the top of the domed lid.

The interior reveals a single lidded compartment. Complete with a working tasseled key, this gem is in superb condition. 4 1/2" wide x 4" deep x 5 1/8" tall.
