The thermometer calibrated from 30º to 100º Fahrenheit. The mahogany herringboned veneer case with exposed mercury tube, boxwood and ebony stringing, double turned cistern cover to the base housing the boxwood cistern and a brass transportation screw. The broken architectural pediment with a central brass finial.
