Antique English Sterling Silver Lidded Vanity Jar - Figural - Art Nouveau

Description

An absolute joy, this jar is as Art Nouveau as they get with the repousse sterling silver lid featuring a Lady, flowers and a stylized border, really beautiful.

The silver has the full English hallmark for London 1903, Edwardian in era, together with the makers initials L & S for the well renowned silversmith, Levi & Salaman. The lid is beautifully gilded on the interior and also is lucky enough to bear the design registration number, 409494, again another way of dating the piece to 1903.

The glass is beautifully cut in the ever-popular hobnail design and without damage.

Excellent in every way, standing 2 3/4" tall, with a lid diameter measuring 2 1/2".
