Description

A charming small pair of desk-top postage or letter scales dating to the late Victorian period. The postage rates are engraved on the letter pan, these particular rates were introduced in June 1897.

The scale is signed by the most famous of postal scale manufacturer's, Sampson Mordan, London.

The scale comes complete with their original set of four brass weights, including the 1/2 OZ bell shaped topper.

Excellent condition, measuring 6 3/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" tall.
