Description

A lovely pair of late Victorian or Edwardian Opera Glasses made from an early Aluminium, so not to heavy to carry and wrapped in stunning antique Tortoiseshell.

On the underside of the middle bar, there is the highly sought-after impressed Bee mark for the renowned French manufacturer, Lemaire, Paris.

This particular pair was then retailed in the English City of Newcastle Upon Tyne, the two eye pieces engraved: " T.B Winter & Son / 21, Grey St./ Opticians / Newcastle Upon Tyne ".

They come complete with their original case which has seen some action and is worn but has done a grand job of preserving this pair in superb condition. All working perfectly with excellent optics.

4 3/8" at widest x 2 3/4" extending to 3 3/4".
