Description

An absolutely charming antique Jewellery box dating to the early nineteenth century, around 1820.

Made from Burr Walnut and standing on four Ebonised legs, the box is in the form of a Grand Piano, romantic and whimsical. The keys are made from inlaid Fruitwood and Ivory, and the inlaid escutcheon made of Ivory too, which houses a working tasseled key.

The interior has been professionally and sympathetically lined in a navy blue Velvet. There is a long ring holder at the rear which would accommodate around 10 /12 rings.

A charming gem in excellent condition, measuring 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 6" tall.
