Reeves & Sons London Artist Easel - Oak - c1920

Reeves have been trading since 1766 - see http://www.reeves-art.com/heritage.lasso for more information regarding this historic company.
This full height easel provides sufficient adjustment to allow a canvas of up to 104cm (3' 5") tall to be worked upon. The system allows the canvas to be moved up and down to any height once it has been retained within the sliding locks.

A robust base supports the upper frame and rides upon 3 castors and one adjustable foot with large turn knob to allow for uneven surfaces.
The rise and fall is delivered with a solid brass under-lever which simply clicks into place against a brass bound tooth set into the centre upright.

The oak displays beautifully. The piece benefits from being in excellent condition with strong joints.
Overall an excellent example which will make a fabulous display piece for artwork or a useful addition to an artist studio.
