Superb Large Stick Hall Stand - Mahogany - c1850
The stand is crafted from mahogany and is presented in excellent condition.
A break-front base with demi-lune side extensions contains the removable drip tray and supports the turned columns and central back.
The side columns are superbly turned and detailed. They run through the upper stick hoop and are capped with an attractive finial. The broad back rises with a fielded central panel and is topped with a crown moulding and arch detailed pediment.
The stick hoops are a gorgeous feature and sweep pleasingly.
Suitable for use in any location - hallway, portico or lobby.
It is in excellent condition throughout. The mahogany shows fine grain and patina. Overall a rare and unusual example.
