Asprey Ivory Paper Knife with Integral Magnifying Glass - 1930

Description

A top notch desk accessory from a top notch silversmith and retailer, Asprey of Bond Street.

The small paper knife or page turner is made from Ivory with a polished patina, one side has some small stain marks.

This blade is mounted with sterling silver terminating in an integral magnifying glass, with the blade being used as a handle. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1930 together with the makers marks, and it is stamped on the other side Asprey, London.

Stylish and special in excellent condition. Measuring 7" in length, with the magnifying glass having a diameter of 1 1/2".
