Description

An exceptional pair of Jam or Preserve spoons made from English Silver Plate with highly decorative handles created from Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell, with an beautiful Shell ferrule.

The bowls are beautifully decorated with engraved edges and a repousse and engraved Grape and Vine design.

Complete with their original silk and velvet lined presentation box, they date to the Victorian era, around 1890. Each has a makers mark, JS S and EP for Electro-Plated. Excellent condition, each spoon measuring 6 1/4" long with the box measuring 7 1/2" x 3 1/4".
