Stunning Long Antique English Sterling Silver Box - Reynold's Angels - 1906

Description

A really wonderful example, an extremely long sterling silver box beautifully decorated with the ever-popular Reynold's Angels, both on the top and around the sides.

Excellent quality is, understandable when we look at the makers initials W.C. for the top notch English silversmith, William Comyns. The full hallmarks are also present for London 1906, making this a true Edwardian example.

The long hinge is in perfect shape and the lid fits well, once opened the original gilding is revealed. A good gauge of silver was used to create this gem, 5.02 Troy Ounces / 156 Grams. Excellent condition, minor wear to the gilding. 9" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/8".
