William IV Period Mahogany Davenport

Description

A superb quality mahogany William IV period davenport, having a sliding top with a burgundy inset leather writing surface which lifts to reveal a fitted storage area. The bottom section having a panelled front with four graduating mahogany lined drawers to the right hand side, each drawer having turned rosewood drawer pulls, there is also a slide and a small pen drawer. The left hand side having an arrangement of "dummy drawers", supported on carved bun feet with concealed brass Castor's circa 1830-1840

Dimensions: 20" wide x 36" high x 25" deep

Condition: This davenport is in excellent condition, fully cleaned and waxed
