Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
It measures 5.75" in length but because it has a sprung clasp this will give you an additional 0.5" bringing the total length to 6".
It will fit a watch with lugs of 18mm but this can easily be reduced to 16mm if required.
It has a wonderful double link chain main mesh design which would look fabulous on any 9ct watch.
As you can see it is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1959.
Patent Number 739748, Made in England by JG&S.
It is incredibly heavy weighing 38.5g.
