Description

An excellent quality mahogany stick barometer with extensive inlay throughout.

The rectangular silvered brass scale calibrated from 27" to 31" with sliding vernier controlled from within a glazed access door. The thermometer calibrated from 30º to 90º Fahrenheit. The mahogany herringboned veneer case with exposed mercury tube, boxwood and ebony stringing and a turned cistern cover to the base with ebony and ivory inlay. The broken architectural pediment with central brass finial.
