Lath Back Windsor Chair - Elm & Beech - c1900

This Elm seated Windsor chair is a pleasing classic shape and is presented in good condition.

The chair has good seat height (46cm or 18.1") combined with strength in the back and arms and therefore makes an excellent choice as a regular daily use chair (see images for full dimensions). The broad top rail is supported by nicely swept outer risers which terminate in a desirable turned bobbin.

The Elm seat plate displays the grain and beauty of the wood superbly. The laths and turned parts are in beech.

The chair rides upon double turned legs which are united by a twin 'H' stretcher for extra robustness and durability.

This chair will make a charming additon to any home and is a nice example of this classic design.
