Large Five Drawer Chest - Mahogany - circa 1860
This Victorian mahogany chest is a lovely size and offers excellent colour and condition.
The chest is a quality construction with strong dove-tail joints and oak drawer linings. The drawer layout with two smaller drawers above three full width ones makes the piece hugely practical especially as the lower drawer is 11" deep (see images for the full drawer dimensions).
To the top there is a fine deep top with moulded edge - this is repeated at the base with an angled skirt with cross-banded veneer. The piece rides upon original solid turned tall bun feet.
Overall this piece of furniture is in excellent condition.
An brilliant chest which displays wonderfully and would suit a variety of locations.
