Victorian Walnut Work Table

Description

A fine Victorian burr walnut work table. Boxwood inlay to top, fitted drawer and sewing basket. Top lifts to reveal an adjustable reading slope with compartments for writing implements and stationary. Replaced hand dyed hide writing surface with blind and gold tooling. Drawer fitted with sycamore partitions and green silk. Work basket lined with original Victorian paper. The base is of stretcher form with good quality carving and turned stretcher. Original castors. Handsome work table in very good condition.
