Description

A highly sought-after single compartment Georgian tea caddy with a decorative domed lid sporting a wonderful inlaid Moth.

The caddy made from Mahogany and cross-banded in Satinwood with Ebony stringing, dates to around 1800, well over 200 years old.

The front has a diamond shaped Ivory escutcheon housing the working tasseled key.

The interior has a single compartment with a lid removed with the use of the turned Ivory knob.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep x 4 5/8" tall.
