Highly Decorative Silver Plated Toast Rack - Pierced Tray C.1880

Description

A real delight and pretty as a picture, this small toast rack is of the highly decorative variety we (and our clients) are always in search of.

These days, they are just as likely to be seen on top of a desk as on the breakfast table, making sensational desk accessories for business cards and other bits and pieces we are have lying around.

There is a wonderful integral tray, with a scalloped rim with a wonderful floral and foliate pierced or reticulated decoration.

The underside has the makers marks intact T.W into an oval for Thomas White of Sheffield, dating it to around 1880, a true Victorian example.

The tray measures 5 3/4" x 3 7/8" x 5 3/4" tall to to the top of ring handle.
