Large Pair Antique Candlesticks in Silver Plate - English C.1850

Description

This stunning pair of candlesticks are quite statuesque, standing 11" tall with the attractive shaped base size measuring 5 3/4" square, a good impressive size, solid and heavy.

The base and pillar are encrusted with raised foliate decoration, quite outstanding. The side of the base is where the makers mark can be found (the stamped hand), this design dating this pair to around 1850, the maker is Padley, Parkin & Co. of Sheffield.

Excellent condition with some natural copper bleeding trough in a few spots.
