Handsome Antique English Burr Cedar & Ivory Box C.1920

Description

A very elegant box, perfect for either a lady or gentleman, great by the bed for a watch and cufflinks or desk-top for all those bits and pieces.

The rich Cognac coloured Burr Cedar with it's highly prized grain, is framed with creamy Ivory trim, all intact, hard to find on these boxes.

The gently domed lid fits perfectly and once opened reveals a re-lined interior finished in a hand-marbled paper, creating an excellent and clean finish ready for use.

Dating to around 1920, the box remains in excellent condition, measuring 7" x 5 1/4" x 2 3/8" tall.
