Lovely Dresser - Victorian Pine - c1880
A stunning Victorian dresser presented in good order.
This is an impressive piece with lots of charm.
To the upper section a moulded cornice resides over a pair of glazed panel doors enclosing twin adjustable shelves. Flanking the doors are fluted columns capped with carved mounts. The upper cabinet floats upon two turned column supports which extend to the lower cabinet surface creating an under-gallery.
The lower cabinet presents both cupboard and drawer storage. The top surface has moulded edge detail and below a pair of drawers offer useful space for cutlery or other items. Under the drawers a pair of field panel doors enclosing one shelf, are flanked by fluted columns with carved mounts.
The wonderful look and versatility of this unusual item of furniture ensures that it will look as at home in the kitchen as it will in the study or hallway.
