Pretty Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box - Edwardian

Description

A delightful Edwardian sterling silver ring box in an oval form with a pretty repousse or embossed decoration.

The hinged lid once opened, reveals an original fitted interior to accommodate six rings; the interior of the lid is lavishly gilded.

The hallmark is buried withing the riot of decoration, marked for Birmingham 1904. The makers initials W.A are also present for the well renowned English silversmith, William Aitken.

Excellent condition, wear to the interior commensurate with age. 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" tall.
